Connecting Great Friends

Acquiring official non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service, the Scott & BR Great Friends Foundation has established itself as a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting challenged youth and individuals, supporting the needs of our returning active duty Marines, and celebrating our communities.  Through upcoming scholarships and donations, the Scott & BR Great Friends Foundation will continue to create and support opportunities for the greater good of deserving individuals and organizations.

Goal

  • Enrich and elevate the lives of challenged youth and individuals.
  • Encourage and support programs for our military.
  • Educate and assist youth through academic programs and scholarships.

 

Purpose

The Scott & BR Great Friends Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for charitable purposes. The specific purposes are to provide support and opportunities for youth through educational & sports programs and scholarships; Support of our military by providing funding, educational opportunities;  assist community programs directed toward relieving poverty.

 

Scholarship

Each year the Scott & BR Great Friends Foundation will provide academic scholarships to two high school students – the offspring of active duty or retired military personnel. One will focus on media arts the other on sports. Applications along with the guidelines are available for the 2008-09 academic school year.
