Great Friends,

On Friday we all wondered, “is she going too fast too soon?”  And it wasn’t until track announcer Trevor Denman proclaimed “Enchanting Moment is just plain too good,” that we all exhaled with a sigh of relief.  The Great Friends Stable had finally won a race at Del Mar!

Our horses are running well.  Let’s hope it continues.  This is what the Great Friends Stable stats look like so far this year:

            Starts                           6
First                             2          (Mr. Chairman, Enchanting Moment)
            Second                       2          (Sandita, Mr. Chairman)
            Third                           1          (Glimmering Pete)
            Win %                         33%
            In the money %           83%

Looking forward . . . Sandita is set to run this Thursday in the 4th race.  He drew the #6 post.  After his impressive second place finish on July 21, we decided to move Sandita up in class to a $20,000 claiming race.  Even though he will likely not be one of the favorites, Sandita is doing well, and we know he likes the Polytrack at Del Mar, so we believe he has a chance.

We’ll see you all Thursday.

For more, Doug O’Neil will be on the Scott and BR Show (1090 AM) Monday morning at 6:40.
